Icelandic Investors Ltd. today announces it is changing its name to ACRO Securities. ACRO Securities is an independent securities company that has successfully operated since 1994 and for over a quarter of a century provided domestic investors access to foreign capital markets. In recent years the company has, in addition, acquired a good reputation as a leading broker for local and foreign investors in the Icelandic securities market.
Although the old name has served the company well, it is appropriate to change names with increased activity and additional operating licenses. ACRO is an international name rooted in many cultures and refers to the value creation of cultivation and the mountain Acropolis, which provides a clear view of its surroundings.
The company will continue to provide personal and independent advisory with the long-term interests of its clients in mind.
